2nd Anniversary

As you all may know Chris and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary this last weekend. Way-FM, a Christian radio station in CO, hosted the Comedy Stimulus Tour with Taylor Mason. We went to the show in Parker, CO Friday night while my mom watched Malachi. Now I will be honest and say I was worried he would cry the whole time and my mom would be worn out. It was the complete opposite. My mom and Malachi had a blast together and he never noticed we were gone, which is great. He is still a little shy around groups of people, but is getting better especially with Grandma.

Chris and I went to Carino's for dinner in which we shared a mini Italian nachos and a pizza. Now the pizza wasn't like any other pizza we've ever had. Chris let me put red peppers and spinach on it. Yes veggies and he didn't pick them off! The comedy show was amazing. Taylor Mason put on a really good show along with all of his friends. Here are some pics.
You can also go on You tube and view some of his stuff.
Sunday we started P90X, a 90 day at home work out program and hopefully we get the results we are looking for. So wish us luck. This next month is jammed pack for us so I'm not sure when I will be able to blog next, so may June bring you joy and much sunshine.
Love all,
Cassie, Chris, Malachi

Mother's Day and Birthday

My first Mother's Day was a good day. We spent the weekend in Denver at my mom's house. My family had the annual Mother's Day/Birthday Party for JP and I. It was a gorgeous day so we had a Bar-B-Que and cheesecake for dessert. Malachi let Grandma watch him for about an hour before he noticed mom and dad were gone and then only cried for five minutes. He is getting a lot better with other people. He really likes kids though. His one year old niece and him just stand and stare at each other, it's really cute. Overall it was a great day.

My Birthday was last Thursday and Chris was able to get the day off. I was a beautiful sunny day so we planned a hiking trip to the Crags in Divide, CO. Chris had hiked it a couple of times growing up and just wanted to get away from our regular hiking trails. It was amazing. About half the trail still had a couple feet of snow left over from our "huge" snow storms that hit in April. It was so much fun. It took about 4 hours all together including a stop at the top for lunch. Malachi did great too. He talked to us all the way up and slept all the way back down.

Front Back

Then we had dinner at Red Robin, our favorite, and Chris took me to Mardell's, a Christian supply store. I got three new books and a CD. Chris spoiled me. Overall Mother's Day and my birthday were so much fun and I am so thankful for my beautiful family and being able to spend it with them.
